Earth III had always had a complicated past. Most of its history has been lost to the ravages of time and is now a distant memory, one which is only revealed in ancient textbooks and lost museums. It had weathered millions of years of change, with the countless rise and fall of civilisations upon its surface. But now, most of those civilisations are just a shell of their former glory, and that is if they could even be remembered at all. It is still the third planet from the sun, it still has the same cycles of day and night and the same ever changing seasons. It still has two ice caps, large open oceans, and several large landmasses. But long ago there must have been a change so dramatic, that millions of the Earth’s inhabitants died out. This is evidenced by the fact that across the numerous lands there are giant swathes of ruins and empty husks of cities, left in various states of collapse. From the endless roads to the giant skyscrapers that dot the landscape, everywhere there had once been a living civilization, has long since been reduced to giant ghost towns. Overgrown and overtaken with flora and fauna, the humans who had lived in the cities have long since moved on. But Earth, as much as its inhabitants; lives on. Humans have survived. They \made themselves new cities to live in, in most cases within the ruins of the old. They started anew, rebuilding their civilization from the ground up.

It is now referred to as the year, 1592 C.E.

I look forward to seeing where they go from here.

-An Excerpt from the Book of Knowledge

There are many kinds of Earths, and they are the blueprint for what we consider a normal world or realm in the Tapestry.
Yet, each one can vary so much that some can be considered anything but normal.
El’Sharrai, Kaalum, these are some specific examples of how different an Earth can be.

They usually have what we considered normal for a world where a race originates from. Oxygen, gravity, a liveable atmosphere. a world.

RECOVERED RECORD

A summary from the Book of Knowlegde.

WHAT IS KNOWN

• Earth is a common name for a basic world, or simply a category for unnamed ones.
• They are the most widely variants of worlds from slight variations of historical events, to full on differing lands and biomes
• Earth generally means a world in a solar system that is inhabitable to humanoid races, though not exclusively.
• Portal access, magic, or even aura casting is also wildly varied.
• Some worlds are so isolated that they have no idea the rest of the Tapestry exists, let alone that travel to other realms is also.

UNRESOLVED RECORDS

There is no way to know exactly how many Earths there are, especially when you take into account the “Timeline and timetravel” theories.
It is one of the main reasons that the Great Weave is frequently being updated,

ARCHIVIST’S NOTE

It may be an impossible task to document every known variation of ‘Earth,’ but what a task it would be!
