Angels are an interesting race.
They have some very unique differences when compared to other races within the Tapestry.
Firstly, they are one of the few races to be born with wings. Not only that, but there are three different subspecies of them, identifiable by their different wing types.
The Erelim, with wings of light.
The Seraphim, with wings of fire.
And the Malakim, with wings of feather.
I will go into more detail at a later time regarding their further differences, but the second thing that further distinguishes angels from other races, is the mastery of their auras.
Angels have a natural affinity to aura control, (or chi, or whatever your race may call it,)
which means they are a race filled with powerful auramancers. (Or Casters as they call them.)
Their entire society evolved with an abundance of Casters, and this has lead to them developing in interesting ways. They have less use for advanced technology and weaponry.
Because who needs guns when you can shoot fire from your fingertips?

Angels are the race that inhabits the Greater Realm of He’aeven, or Light of the Source in their tongue, or Heaven, in most other languages.
Though they are not of holy origin, or beings of light or anything metaphysical like that, they are physically stronger than humans, and have the innate ability to fly, and control their auras.
Very human in function and appearance, they typically have lighter coloured hair and eyes, and are always marked with an identifying tattoo upon their faces.
They come in three distinct variants:
Malakim, with two feathered wings (the ones typically presented in paintings.)
Seraphim, with six wings of fire.
Erelim, light angels, whose wings end with ten long tendril-like forms.
They typically serve the Source, and work to preserve balance.

WHAT IS KNOWN
• Angels are flesh and blood like most other races.
• They are born with wings and the ability to fly, though they can be hidden at will, appearing as almost human.
• The Seraphim tend to learn to cast fire, likewise, the Erelim have an easier time mastering light.
• Angels consider themselves defenders of the balance, often defending other races, or helping to protect the Source.
• Their technological advancement is actually simple compared to most human races, due to their natural Aura mastery.
•Their culture is split up into different chosen Aspects; Scribe, Messenger, Warrior, Healer, and so on.
Trusted leaders of these Aspects, become Archangels.
UNRESOLVED RECORDS
Angels live incredibly long lives, and it is a very debated subject as to their maximum age, and the impact that this can have on how they are perceived by other races and cultures.
They are also, very similar to their opposites, and it is believed that they may have originated from the same (REDACTED REDACTED REDACTED REDACTED) as the (REDACTED)
The animosity with the demons of Abys’sul is well documented, and many Wars can be attributed to this.
ARCHIVIST’S
NOTEGRIEVANCENo other race has corrected my writings as much as the Angels have. Despite their long lifespans, and their own extensive records, one would think they would be above such petty pride.

ARCHIVIST’S NOTE
I do not know who this T is, but I have seen so many corrections like this throughout the book of Knowledge.
It is almost as though they take such corrections personally.-Enerriss Uriel
