The most something time of the year

    Dear creatives, artists, writers etc.

How do you manage the craziness of the holiday period, while still managing to stay productive?

My prompt told me to write something today, and honestly I’ve been thinking about what to write since, and I decided on this question. I for one work in retail and this is honestly the most draining time for me, both because I’m flat out busy, and because my social battery gets hit extra hard. So yeah, I manage to stay positive, but boy does productivity suffer.

I still get a little time here and there, and get my headphones in and get a little writing done… But other creatives, artists, writers, etc, do you have any tricks to keep productive? Id love to know.

In the meantime, my Patreon stuff is continuing as normal, albeit a little sparse this month, but happy holidays to my friends, followers, and other creatives out there!

  • Creative break time.

    Creative break time.

Sometimes you just need a hobby to take your mind off writing and to flex those creative muscles in different ways.

For me, that usual means painting or gaming. Yes, I painted this 😁

What do you do to stay creative between writing or working?

  • Back to old habits 📖

    Back to old habits 📖

When there’s nothing else to do, get back to those old habits that help you write.

For me, that’s going somewhere quiet…ish, putting in my headphones, listening to metal, and grabbing a coffee.

Nothing helps me get more writing done 👌

New writers rambling coming tonight or tomorrow, but for now, I’ll be working on the next chapter of the main story.

I hope your day is as productive 😄

  • Back to the drawing board… Kinda

Back to the drawing board… Kinda

With the Mask of Spirit at 90% completion, and awaiting its cover to be finished, I decided to start preparing for the next book. This looks like the scribbles of a madman, but this is me writing out the key plot points I need to follow.

Book 5 runs parallel with book 4 so I figured it was time to rewrite the things I knew were happening to make sure they line up correctly, but also to make sure that they will head straight into book 6.

It also gives me a chance to make sure that Mask of Spirit is as polished as it can be.

And for those of you following along, means that book 6 won’t take as long.

It’s almost time for some major updates, I promise 😁

But for now, this is what I’ve been up to. Oh, and try not to look too closely at those notes, they’re a bit… Spoilery 😉
